Replacing all bearings on a Vision Metron 35 disc wheelset

Hoping to save you some time when changing the wheel and freehub body bearings on a set of Vision 35 Metron disc wheelset.

  1. Remove wheels and disc rotors and cassette

  2. Rear wheel - pull off both end caps (Unior hub genie tool makes this job easier) place disc side cap on disc for later recognition!

  3. Place a screwdriver into drive side of axle and tap the end of screwdriver, this should pop the axle and bearing out of the opposite side.

  4. Remove both bearings from axle and freehub body from axle

  5. To remove the bearings from the freehub body use a screwdriver to tap out and remove the inner obvious circlip with long circlip pliers before knocking out.

  6. Replace all bearings with Rear 4 x 6902 LLB & Front MR 18287 LLB X 2

  7. Front wheel has two x pull off hats and then using screwdriver again tap out axle and remove / replace bearings

  8. Remember to add anti-seize paste to all bearing surfaces before pressing in with an appropriate bearing press and guides.

  9. Remember to clean and replace inner guide sleeves on freehub body inner, rear axle inner, and front wheel axle inner.
